Welcome to Tessa’s Story

Her story could save a life.

On February 9, 2020,Tessa Marie lost a short battle with acute respiratory distress syndrome at just 24 years old.

What started as Influenza B turned into pneumonia, then sepsis, and then Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

Before this, I had never even heard of ARDS. I didn’t know how quickly something that seemed like a normal illness could turn life-threatening so fast.

I’m sharing her story to raise awareness so other families understand the warning signs and how serious these conditions can be.

If even one life is saved by recognizing the signs sooner, then her story continues to make a difference.
